Collibra Data Governance Center consists of two services (DGC service and Repository service) and Collibra Console to monitor and maintain Collibra DGC. With Collibra Console you can monitor and maintain multiple Collibra DGC instances, often referred to as environments. In the following schema, you see a typical enterprise setup, with an acceptance and a production environment.
In the acceptance environment, both the DGC and Repository service run on the same server (also called a node). In the production environment, the services run on separate nodes. In the schema, Collibra Console also runs on a separate node, which is recommended, but you can also choose to run Collibra Console on a node in combination with the DGC and/or Repository service. Every node of an environment also has an Agent running. The Agent is the communication bridge between Collibra Console and both the DGC and Repository services.
